Neptune – God of the Sea Cocktails

Neptune is the ancient Roman god of freshwater and the sea in Roman religion, a God that carried a mighty trident and rode on a glorious chariot pulled by either sea creatures or horses, he is the counterpart of the Greek god Poseidon.

In Latin: Neptūnus [nɛpˈtuːnʊs]

This God, like many others, was celebrated and worshipped in festivals, Neptune had the festival ‘Neptunalia’ which was typically held on the 23rd of July, during the height of summer where drought and heat were prominent, praying for water for crops and for safe passage across the endless seas.

NEPTUNE RUM

Neptune is now celebrated once again on the bottles of Neptune Rum, with Neptune Rum even committing to protect the world’s oceans, with sales of every bottle generating vital funds for projects that help prevent and clean up pollution and restore the Earth’s oceans to their former glory, something I’m sure Neptune would approve of.
